Throughout these awards processes, organizers compared our company to Houston-area businesses of similar size and took into consideration a variety of factors such as internal culture (we take on a “work hard, play hard” attitude around our office) and employee engagement (we encourage everyone to make their voice heard and have a role in the way our company is run.) The most important factor related to these competitions, in our opinion, was the fact that they considered input from our employees themselves. It’s one thing to say your company maintains a stellar work environment, but it’s another thing altogether to know that your team members feel the same way.
