Risk Management

Since 1991, BCH has had a separate Risk Management Division to assist our clients in controlling their Total Cost of Risk (TCOR)™.

Safety & Loss Control is half of it with our focus being on helping our clients reduce loss frequency & loss severity. This is accomplished thru risk surveys and inspections, identifying the areas that our clients are doing well, as well as those where improvement could be made. Then by partnering with the client and the insurance companies, a plan is designed and put in place to help them control their TCOR. Some of the resources include:

Claims Management is the other half of our risk management focus. The BCH Claims Management team is made up of licensed adjusters that function as our clients Claims Advocates. Their role is to assist our clients in the management of a claim once it occurs. Some of the resources include:

  • Best Claims Handling Program
  • Reporting of claims to the carrier for our clients
  • Following claims to conclusion
  • Workers’ Compensation Return to Work Program
  • Constant monitoring of loss reserves
  • Dealing with adjusters on behalf of our clients
