Due to the extremely high
volume of flood losses during both Hurricane's Harvey and Irma,
Wright Flood is experiencing delays in processing claim advance payment
checks. This situation is compounded by the fact that Wright's
claim processing office is located in St. Petersburg, Florida,
whereby their operations were shut down for five days during
FEMA has approved advance payments for ALL flood
losses reported, however, without a minimum threshold, the number
of checks to be processed is astronomical. In addition, they are
upholding documentation required from their adjusters and
inspectors before a check can be processed. The required
documents include, but may not be limited to:
- Signed Proof of Loss Form
- Preliminary Inspection
- Photos of the Location
These back to back major hurricane events have
affected an epic number of policyholders, as well as non-policyholders.
Wright recognizes that issuing advance payments is critical to
your recovery and have hired an
estimated 200 additional employees who are working 7 days a week
to process advance payments.
Policyholders can get claims updates by texting
"status" to 727-777-7066, and add the 5-9 digit claim
number to receive the current claims status, including the date
of issue and check number of the most recent payment
