Wright Flood

Claim Advance Payment Checks

Due to the extremely high volume of flood losses during both Hurricane's Harvey and Irma, Wright Flood is experiencing delays in processing claim advance payment checks. This situation is compounded by the fact that Wright's claim processing office is located in St. Petersburg, Florida, whereby their operations were shut down for five days during Irma.

FEMA has approved advance payments for ALL flood losses reported, however, without a minimum threshold, the number of checks to be processed is astronomical. In addition, they are upholding documentation required from their adjusters and inspectors before a check can be processed. The required documents include, but may not be limited to:

  • Signed Proof of Loss Form
  • Preliminary Inspection Report
  • Photos of the Location

These back to back major hurricane events have affected an epic number of policyholders, as well as non-policyholders. Wright recognizes that issuing advance payments is critical to your recovery and have hired an estimated 200 additional employees who are working 7 days a week to process advance payments.

Policyholders can get claims updates by texting "status" to 727-777-7066, and add the 5-9 digit claim number to receive the current claims status, including the date of issue and check number of the most recent payment issued*.

Should you have any questions, please contact a member of your BCH Service Team.

*PLEASE NOTE: All claim checks are issued by the Wright Flood, St. Petersburg, Florida office. The "issue" date noted above does not take into consideration processing and mail delivery time.
